Powerful Dynamo Subwoofer... Ideal for Larger Rooms!

True high-end performance. Home-friendly aesthetics. And power, lots of power! In a nutshell, that's the incredible Dynamo 1000w subwoofer. Dramatic bass detail, bass attack, superb extension and room-shaking output ensure a music and home theater experience like no other subwoofer in its class can deliver. Features include a 500-watt RMS, 1,000-watt peak amplifier and 12-inch cone driver. Its standard down-firing configuration quickly (and easily!) converts into a front-firing configuration, ideal for discrete installations. Finishing touch... an included wireless transmitter and receiver for a 'cable-less' environment.

Built-In Wireless Receiver offers Extreme Placement Flexibility!

Although correct placement plays a key role in optimizing subwoofer performance, sometimes it imposes the inconvenience (not to mention unsightliness!) of running long lengths of cable through walls, along baseboards or under floors and carpets. To solve the problem, the Dynamo 1000w incorporates a wireless receiver (digital RF transmission) for use with the included SWT-2 MartinLogan Subwoofer Wireless Transmitter in which case, cable clutter also becomes a moot point!

High-Resolution Low-Distortion 12-Inch Woofer

The Dynamo 1000w's advanced-technology driver pairs a high-power magnet structure with a 12-inch diaphragm to deliver huge excursion and sound output while perfectly preserving the tiniest bass detail -- and all without a hint of distortion. The exceptional damping properties of the cone material also ensure the smooth, non-resonant response necessary for truly seamless blending with MartinLogan electrostatic panel and Folded Motion™ driver technologies.

Advanced Ultra-Efficient 500-Watt Amplifier

The Dynamo 1000w's ultra-efficient high-power amplifier uses variable audio tracking power supplies to drive its class AB output stage. With lower distortion and less noise than typical Class D switching amplifiers this advanced design allows the amplifier to operate at much higher efficiencies than a typical class AB amplifier, delivering a true 500 watts of continuous power. An energy-conscious design, the Dynamo 1000w's amp consumes less than a single watt in Standby mode.

Front-Firing or Down-Firing Configuration

To maximize performance when installed inside of a cabinet or other discrete installation, the Dynamo 1000w's standard down-firing configuration easily converts into a front-firing orientation-no tools required! A grill cover and 90 degree RCA adaptors are provided for use in front-firing applications.

Inverse Mathematical Equalization (IME) Filter

An IME filter is derived from the inverse of the unfiltered driver response. Precision IME filtering yields extremely accurate low-frequency response - far superior to that provided by the simple second-order high-Q filters typically found in subwoofers in this price range.

Sealed Cabinet with Extensive Internal Bracing

A good sealed system will typically exhibit less transient-blurring group delay while maintaining smooth, consistent response regardless of music or movie source material. On the outside, the Dynamo 1000w's cabinet is constructed from the finest composite material for acoustic integrity. Inside, critically placed structural cross-bracing acts an excellent baffle for the woofer while the added rigidity keeps cabinet-induced resonances and non-linearities to inaudible levels.

Seamless System Integration - Engineered for Stereo and Home Theater

Comprehensive connection options, low-pass filtering and phase control make integrating the Dynamo 1000w subwoofer into a multi-channel home theater or stereo music setup simple and seamless. The main left/right line-level inputs feed into a precision low-pass filter with a cut-off frequency variable from 35 to 120 Hz. For systems in which a surround processor supplies the crossover, the Dynamo 1000w offers an LFE input that bypasses its internal filters.

Energy Transfer Coupler (ETC) Spikes

The Dynamo 1000w comes with custom ETC spikes which can be used in place of the feet to enhance stability on thick carpets, or create tighter coupling between subwoofer and floor to enhance overall sound quality.

Great home theatre subwoofer - and excellent for music listening
I purchased the Dynamo 100w only a few days ago but wanted to share my first impressions. This was to replace/upgrade my previous subwoofer, a Definitive Technology Supercube 1. My home theatre setup consists of mostly Paradigm speakers: a pair of Studio 60's fronts, Studio 10's surrounds, with a pair of in-wall Paradigms. The amp is a Yamaha. I was initially looking at the Paradigm Seismic 110 sub but the dealer who I have purchased most of my gear from suggested the ML Dynamo 1000w as a more musical and tighter sub that would be a better fit for my home theatre and personal requirements, even though the seismic is a more powerful sub. He wasn't wrong. The result (only after a few days of use): A VERY noticeable improvement over the Supercube. Much more enjoyable 'theatre' experience with a couple of movies I've played. I've only had the level at mid-range so far and the room has been vibrating with a few scenes already. I plan to crank up the level soon (once the family are out of the house for the day!). I expect it will deliver more than enough oomph. Music? Amazing clarity with the bass - crisp, sharp, clear, punchy - now I know why my dealer suggested the ML. It has enhanced my listening experience in a major way. A very happy camper. A great subwoofer. I'll post an update in a few months once its been is use for a while and I've had a chance to test it out more thoroughly.

DJ Dream
Hi Everyone- All I can say is wow! I purchased the unit above to replace an 8 inch Paradigm and there was no comparison. Being a semi-professional DJ its great to have clean powerful lows which this unit certainly delivers for my home use. Can imagine its spectacular for movies and sports as well. Well worth every penny. You'll be impressed when you get this home and turn it on for the first time. A+ Thanks MartinLogan! -Speedstorm

Big Thinks Come in Small Packages!
The title says it all. The salesperson in the store demoed this subwoofer and I was sold immediately. I currently own an 75 plus pound subwoofer that I paid much more for over ten years ago. It's a good sub but forget about being able to move it around. The Dynamo 1000W is half the weight and provides bass response that is every bit a good as my heavier more expensive sub. The design of the Dynamo is fantastic in my opinion. Having the option of forward-firing is a plus if your room does not have the acoustics for a downward firing sub. The included WiFi is also a major plus. I now have the flexibility to place the sub anywhere I want in the room. My thanks to the engineers at Martin Logan for designing a small, relatively lightweight and powerful subwoofer that is capable of meeting the demands of the home theater crowd. Great job!

Tight bass from a small package
Just recently brought this bad boy back to pair with my Motion 40's. Originally purchased the 700W, but after thinking about it, I returned it and actually opened up the 1000W for the upgrade. Why not? I had the room in my credenza to fit and our room is huge so I needed the max sound for the room. As I stated, this 12" woofer packs a punch. I really appreciate the engineering that went into this. Many of the other 12" subs are huge and wouldn't fit. I opted for the forward facing installation since it is in a cabinet. The bass is tight, yet can give you that head pulsing thump at the right times too. Very happy with the purchase. Thank you, ML!

Amazing sub
I have had many subs and by far this is one of the best, I think the sound rivals that of even higher priced non Logan hi end subs. In fact the sound quality is comparable to the grotto. With the exception of the grottos extra control capabilities. A great combination and companion with a grotto or depth . Awesome sound for those that want high end sound without extreme high end price.

Outstanding
Like the other's said about this sub, this is an outstanding subwoofer. after replacing my Infinity subs for almost 10 yrs. the best sub replacement I buy. I've got to thank to my loyal retail outlet (Magnolia)who ask me to listen and compare to some of there woofers, but in the end Dynamo over top the rest.. sound was so thigh and solid, with my Klipsch RF62 in front and B&W 686 at rear, "viola"cinema quality...

I've paired this beautiful sub with two Motion 12 towers for a great stereo setup!
The Dynamo 700 seemed more suitable for music listening, but when I compared the two, I decided I really liked the power of the 1000 and think it was worth the price difference. It gives very subtle and accurate bass as it's not a ported sub, and though I don't use it for home theatre, I can only imagine the sort of rumble it would produce when down firing for effects based off of the rumble I get from even soft bass lines when I turn it up loud enough:) Highly recommended.

Sonic Muscle on a budget
I have enjoyed my old Hafler system for many years now, and it's still going strong since I added my new Martin Logan Dynamo 1000 to my existing Boston Acoustics RS260 bookshelf speakers. I expect that my two Hafler XL280's will have a life extension of several more years now...I hope. I'm not much of a home theater person, however I am an avid fan of jazz music, and my new Martin Logan sub has injected a much needed dose of adrenaline into my listening experience. John Coltrane is alive again!!

Dynamo 1000
This sub has far exceeded my expectations. It delivers room shaking bass during movies and is capable of blending very subtly with music. If you are looking for a clean yet punchy sub then the Dynamo 1000 should be on your list!

sub replacement
The dynamo 1000 replaced a sunfire (true sub mk2 10" wow martin logan excellent, tight bass, cleaner sounding and no smearing in the upper bass. Well controlled upper & lower bass. The sunfire would go down to 18 hz. and a pain to blend in the system, not a problem with the dynamo.Oh the wire less, love it to death. (NO MORE WIRES).
