Will my electric bill go 'sky high' by leaving my speakers plugged in all the time?

Updated: Mar 20 2018

No. The electrostatic portion of MartinLogan speakers will only draw about 5 watts maximum (depending on the model, please refer to the specs). There is circuitry to turn off the static charge when not in use; however, actual consumption will remain close to the same. The primary purpose of the sensing circuitry is to prevent dust collection on the electrostatic element. Models with powered woofers systems draw more power duing use, but when not in use will turn off the amplifiers to reduce power consumption. Upon sensing a signal it will take a brief moment for the woofer amplifiers to power up.

Uncompromising performance. Unflinching accuracy. Unwavering reliability. Harnessing the myriad technical advantages of electrostatic principles to recreate sound in its truest form—this is what MartinLogan is all about.
